ARE 415 Introduction to Commodity Futures Markets
This course introduces futures and options for commodity markets. The first half of the course focuses on the mechanics and economic functions of these markets. The second half of the course covers the application of futures and options as a tool for risk management. Most examples and instruction materials are based on agricultural commodities, though some natural resource and financial derivatives will also be covered.
Prerequisites: ´¡¸é·¡Ìý201 or ·¡°äÌý201 or ·¡°äÌý205 or equivalent
