BSC 478 Research Fundamentals in Biological Sciences
Students will use this course to supplement and strengthen their undergraduate research experience in biology, interacting with faculty and students outside of their host labs. Activities will include hands-on research in addition to guided in-class group discussions of the primary literature and emerging technologies in the field. Students will present their data at either an NC State event or a national or international meeting related to the specific topic of the section in which they are enrolled. Students will also be required to attend and briefly summarize two relevant seminars or journal clubs hosted anywhere on campus.
