Awareness and understanding of chemistry in everyday life for the non-science student. Non-mathematical treatment of essential fundamental concepts. Emphasis on practical applications of chemistry to consumer affairs, energy, medicine, food, sports, and pollution. Laboratory activities are designed to provide a personal experience with the concepts discussed in the course. Credit is not allowed for 颁贬听100 if student has prior credit for 颁贬听101.
