Laboratory and computer-based experiments in chemical formulas, atomic structure, bonding, qualitative analysis, solutions, quantitative analysis of acids and bases, and calorimetry. First half of a two semester sequence for students interested in a chemistry or closely related career. This course is open to 17CHEMBS, 17CHEMBA, 14EFY-14CHEI, 11BIOCHBS, 11LSFY-11BCHI and 17MARSCBS-17MARSCCHM majors and to students with departmental approval. Students cannot receive credit for both °ä±áÌý102 and °ä±áÌý104.
