°ä±áÌý203ÌýÌýGeneral Chemistry II for Students in Chemical SciencesÌýÌý(3 credit hours)ÌýÌý

A study of intermolecular forces between molecules, and their affect on the properties of solids, liquids and gases, and on phase changes. The interplay of energetics and chemical kinetics on equilibria, including gas phase, acid-base, redox, and solubility equilibria. Second half of a two semester sequence for students interested in a chemistry or closely related career. This course is open to 17CHEMBS, 17CHEMBA, 14EFY-14CHEI, 11BIOCHBS, 11LSFY-11BCHI, and 17MARSCBS-17MARSCCHM majors and to students with departmental approval. Students cannot receive credit for both °ä±áÌý201 and °ä±áÌý203.

Prerequisites: (°ä±áÌý101 with a minimum of 3 grade points or °ä±áÌý103), and (°ä±áÌý102 or °ä±áÌý104), and eligibility for ²Ñ´¡Ìý131 or higher; Co-requisite: °ä±áÌý204
