CHE 460 Chemical Processing of Electronic Materials
This course is an introduction to electronic materials, chemical processes used in their fabrication, and basic physical principles of electronic device operation and function. The course will address how principles of chemical engineering are applied to design and fabricate current and emerging electronic systems. We will also discuss emerging areas of electronic technologies, including organic semiconductors, advanced energy conversion, and quantum computing and related systems. Credit for both °ä±á·¡Ìý460 and °ä±á·¡Ìý560 is not allowed.
Prerequisite: °ä±á·¡Ìý446 or permission of instructor
Typically offered in Spring only

/undergraduate/engineering/chemical-biomolecular/chemical-engineering-bs-honors-concentration/
The Honors Program allows students to gain a deeper understanding of chemical engineering principles than would be acquired by completing the standard CHE curriculum. Admission to the program requires students to have earned a minimum overall GPA of 3.5 and a minimum GPA of 3.5 in CHEÂ 205 Chemical Process Principles and CHEÂ 225 Introduction to Chemical Engineering Analysis . An honors thesis based on a supervised research experience and completion of at least one semester of faculty-supervised research are required for completion of the Honors Program.
