This computer security course introduces the concepts and methods of human-centered cybersecurity, including the subfield of usable security. The field studies how people understand and use security technologies, with the goal of making systems more usable and effective. The course covers how human interaction shapes the design and evaluation of security systems, introduces research foundations such as the planning and analysis of studies from design through execution with attention to research methods and ethical considerations, and introduces students to both classical work and recent advances in human-centered security research.

Prerequisite: °ä³§°äÌý316 and 14CSCBS Majors
