Examination of five major aspects of middle years education: (a) history and purposes of middle/junior high school, (b) pre- and early adolescent needs, interests and abilities, 脗驴 curriculum design and content, (d) teaching methods and (e) school organization. Emphasis on both theoretical understandings and effective classroom strategies.
Prerequisite: 6 hours of ED or PSY
