HI 480 Change-makers in a Global Context
This course examines the development of civil society activism in the late twentieth and twenty-first centuries. It traces the shift from earlier approaches and assumptions to more recent forms of community activism. By studying the histories of change-makers in their local contexts, students will explore case studies that illustrate how activists operate within different communities and societies. The course emphasizes patterns of collaboration and the roles of activists, community members, and researchers in building sustainable and resilient communities. Credit will not be given for both ±á±õÌý480 and ±á±õÌý580.
