The role of science in shaping early modern European identity, culture and polity in the 1600s and 1700s. Drawing on documents and material culture, topics include the meaning of natural wonders, explorations, travel literature, instruments and mapping, colonies and empire, and universal expos. Credit will not be given for both ±á±õÌý484 and ±á±õÌý584.
