This course explores the history of work, workers, and working class organizations in the twentieth century United States; with particular attention to three core issues in twentieth-century American labor history: whether the US South has a particular form of labor history; the historical struggle for workers¿ rights to collectively act and protest; and the intersections between race, ethnicity, immigration and labor in the twentieth-century US. Credit for both ±á±õÌý450 and ±á±õÌý550 is not allowed.
Prerequisite: Graduate standing
