This course explores the dynamic field of public history as it intersects with the complex and often contested narratives of the modern Middle East. We will examine how historical knowledge about the region is produced, disseminated, and consumed outside of traditional academic settings, focusing on the diverse ways the past is remembered, forgotten, and reinterpreted in public spaces. Credit will not be given for both ±á±õÌý464 and ±á±õÌý564.

Prerequisite: 3 hrs. of History
