HS 418 Landscape Design Digital Media Graphics
Digital media is used in the landscape design profession as a tool with analytic, expressive, and representational abilities. The course focuses on introducing landscape design students to digital representational tools used to communicate design ideas for small scale landscape design projects. Students will be introduced to techniques used in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Sketch Up modeling programs. Digital representation will be used to develop the variety of images necessary to explore and communicate design intentions. Materials for this course will cost approximately $50.

Horticultural Science (BS): Landscape Design, Construction, and Management Concentration
The Bachelor of Science in Horticultural Science: Landscape Design, Gardens and Urban Environments Concentration is one of the four concentrations offered in by the Department of Horticultural Science. Students are offered a unique look at various aspects of Horticulture.听听 The聽Landscape Design, Gardens and Urban Environments聽concentration is a menu driven concentration that allows students to direct their education in either landscape design or gardens and their uses in urban spaces. Students are required to take two Biology courses, Soil Science, General Chemistry, and Whole Plant Physiology. The remaining courses for the major are selected from a series of topical menus: Plant Protection Electives, Business Electives, and Advised Electives.聽 Students can follow paths toward residential landscape design, landscape construction and maintenance, public gardens and urban ecosystem management or pursue a graduate degree.
