HSS 120 Introduction to Humanities & Social Sciences
This course equips first-year College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHASS) majors with the academic and personal skills to succeed at the university. Students explore college events, educational opportunities, and disciplinary perspectives in CHASS while reflecting on their transition to university life, academic policies, and campus support services. The course covers high-impact experiences such as internships, research, study abroad, service learning, public service, project-based learning, and career guidance, and includes attending college educational events. First-year entering Humanities and Social Sciences majors only.
