LPS 201 The Humanitarian Response to Conflict
³¢±Ê³§Ìý201 offers up an introduction to the ideals and paradoxes of humanitarian intervention, with a special emphasis on military responses to humanitarian crises. This course explores the history, animating ideals and contemporary paradoxes of humanitarian action and related military interventions. Throughout history and ever increasingly in the present, there is an intersection between military and humanitarian operations in conflict zones.

The Leadership in the Public Sector (LPS) program is the only undergraduate online program offered at NC State for non-traditional transfer students. It was specifically created to provide students with a liberal arts foundation in the ethical, theoretical, and policy analytical skills necessary to be effective leaders in public and nonprofit sector organizations. LPS will give students the knowledge and skills needed for success in government, education, nonprofit organizations and the public sector, as well as credentials that will prepare you for graduate school.
