Calculus for Elementary Education I is the first semester of a two semester sequence of courses designed for the Elementary Education Program. Topics will include sequences, limit, and derivative. Also, topics related to teaching elementary mathematics will be discussed. Students cannot receive credit for more than one of 惭础听151, 惭础听121, 惭础听131, or 惭础听141. 惭础听151 is not an accepted prerequisite for 惭础听231 and 惭础听241. This course is restricted to Elementary Education majors only.
Prerequisite: C- or better in 惭础听107 or 惭础听111, or qualifying score on math placement exam. Credit is not allowed in more than one of 惭础听121, 惭础听131, or 惭础听141.
