This course provides a rigorous introduction to fundamentals of numerical analysis, with emphasis on discrete approximations and their properties: Errors in numerical computations, approximation and interpolation, root finding, numerical quadratures, introduction to numerical solution of ordinary differential equations.
Prerequisite: 惭础听405 and (惭础听425 or 惭础听511 or equivalent); programming experience is helpful but not essential
