Introduction to the theoretical principles of acoustics and psychoacoustics. This course addresses the physical aspects of acoustics and sound propagation, physiological and psychological acoustics, and the acoustics of rooms as they apply to the music technologist. Assignments and projects provide practice with acoustic phenomena, auditory processing, and experimental design.
