VMC 935 Zoological Medicine Field Calls
This rotation is intended to provide a field veterinary opportunity for students interested in learning about zoological or field-medicine. This rotation would include off-site and on-site experiences that would enhance the skills of students interested in zoological, exotic and wild animal medicine. Students will enhance their skills in darting, loading darts as well as gaining an understanding of what it means to provide a mobile practice. Students will participate in routine medical care and/or other type of examinations or procedures for animals at zoological, aquarium or wildlife facilities. Most of these procedures will be done in a field-type manner which includes performing medical care for animals not in a typical hospital setting.
Restriction: Student must be in the clinical year of the college of veterinary medicine at NCSU CVM
