This course is a 2-3 week, on-farm rotation designed to immerse students in ambulatory/field medicine for farm animal species- cattle, swine, small ruminants and equine. The overarching goal of this course is for students to gain entry level skills and practice decision making in a non-hospital setting; develop communication skills with farm staff and animal husbandry professionals; identify basic welfare concerns related to farm animal medicine; and to learn how to design and implement preventative health plans for farm animal species.

Restriction: This course is available to students in the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Program who are in their 4th year of the DVM curriculum.
