The course content is constructed from current topics circulating in the German, Austrian and Swiss media, e.g. newspaper websites, radio programs and TV news in streaming video format. We will discuss the different news genres, the German-language media landscape, and major political, economic, social and cultural issues in the German-speaking countries. The course includes discussion, oral presentation and written assignments. Course conducted in German.
Prerequisite: Two courses at the WLGE 300 level
