ENV 100 Student Success in Environmental First Year
The goal of ·¡±·³ÕÌý100 is to help students create tools that they will use to enhance their success in college and within their chosen majors. Students will be challenged to think intentionally about how they will approach learning inside and outside the classroom and what factors might influence their college experience. Through this course, students will think about their transition from high school to college; identify campus resources and explore academic policies; explore potential internship and career paths; engage in and reflect upon cultural and educational events across campus; and create a "strategic plan" for their time at NC State.

Environmental First Year Program

The Environmental First Year (ENVFY) Program caters to first-year undergraduate students who have a strong interest in the environment and sustainability. ENVFY students learn about the diverse approaches to addressing environmental issues while being exposed to relevant disciplines and careers. The program also cultivates NC State’s motto of ‘Think and Do’ by balancing critical thinking with hands-on learning within the classroom and through engagement programming.Â
