Double-counting
- A course taken to satisfy a Major requirement may also satisfy this requirement if the course is on the approved GEP Mathematical Sciences course list.
- 聽A course that satisfies the Mathematical Sciences requirement may also satisfy the Global Knowledge co-requisite if the course also exists on the university approved GEP co-requisite course list.

A logical approach to problem solving is important for successful functioning in society. It is also important that students be able to formulate models, be critical consumers of quantitative information, communicate mathematically and solve problems.
